We generally recommend the closing of travelers insurance! interesting facts: travel insurance regulation: Any customer with travel insurance getting ill prior to departure has to bear 20 % of the cancellation fees by himself (minimum of EUR 25,- per person). If the insurance case is caused by "death" the insurance will compensate 100 % of the cancellation fees. insurance closure deadline: Travelers insurance is to be booked at the latest 21 days after your travel booking. If there are less than 30 days in between the date of your travel booking and the date of departure, you have to book the insurance together with your travel booking. travelers insurance covers the following risks: - accident, unexpected illness or death - change of job in between the date of travel - pupil- / student protection: repetition of exam in between the date of travel - lost of job or re-employment after a period of unemployment - indigestibility of vaccination - pregnancy - damage of property of the insured traveler as a result of fire, elemental incidents or criminal offence of a third-party - conscription in the army, manoeuvre or community service
